Trans*H4CK was founded in 2013 by Dr. Kortney Ziegler. The first hackathon was funded by a GoFundMe campaign and ran in September 2013. A second hackathon was held in Las Vegas in February 2014.
The speaker series launched in 2014. Speakers include:

In 2014, Ziegler announced a plan to open a code school or fellowship.
