Standing Out in the Crowd was a keynote presentation at OSCON 2009 by Skud.
The keynote was 15 minutes long and reviewed, among other things, the FLOSSPOLS numbers on women participants in Open Source, and the Dreamwidth and Archive Of Our Own projects. The keynote attracted a lot of attention and commentary in the Open Source community.
An "extended remix" one hour version of the presentation was also given at Atlanta Linux Fest and ZendCon the same year.
The keynote and following discussion in blogs and in the press formed a core part of the 2009 women in FLOSS discussions.
