Rod Vagg, a member of the Node.js Technical Steering Committee (TSC) violated the Node code of conduct multiple times; on Twitter, user @maybekatz described Vagg as "a long-time serial harasser and anti-CoC advocate who's been warned about hostility before." Despite this, a majority of the other members of the TSC voted not to remove Vagg from the steering committee; in addition, another member of the TSC edited the Github issue that had previously listed the specific ways in which Vagg violated the CoC in order to protect Vagg:
