Mary Gardiner is a computer programmer and computer science postgraduate student. She has been involved in Open Source community organisation periodically in several capacities: she is currently chair of the [[linux.conf.au]] program, she was on the committee of the Sydney Linux Users Group for two years, she has reviewed talks for the PyCon US conference and she was at one point lead documentation author for the Twisted project. She founded the [[LinuxChix miniconf]]s and AussieChix, the Australia-wide LinuxChix chapter.
