Linux Fund is a "community-neutral 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides financial and administrative support to the open source community. We have given away over $750,000 to open source events and projects around the world since our founding in 1999 using funds raised through our line of credit cards and direct donations."
Linux Fund co-hosted at least one party with Stonehenge consulting attended by scantily-clad women unrelated to the conference. Linux Fund's web site includes an announcement referencing Linux Fund director Randal Schwartz as a "legendary party planner."
Linux Fund is not associated with the Linux Foundation, a "non-profit consortium dedicated to fostering the growth of Linux." The Linux Foundation has no history of inappropriate parties and has officially adopted an anti-harassment/discrimination policy.
